Scholarhip Tees - Support an AFS scholarship and get a cool Tee in the bargain!
 
This is a 100% Bay Area creation. Jennifer Nicoloff came up with afs | connects as the name for our alumni get-togethers. We counted all of the votes for the afs | connects logo designs, and we had a winner (thanks to Amy Shimm-Noveshen)! We printed it on both a men's and a women's tee shirt manufactured by American Apparel, in white with black trim, that we think everyone will love to wear. We came up with what we think is a timely and elegant catch phrase for this year's shirt: "AFS Intercultural Programs: Connecting The Global Community". The logo is printed on the front of the tees, and the catch phrase is straight across the high, center, back of the shirt in black.
All money raised above and beyond the actual cost of the tees goes towards a brand new local scholarship fund, aimed at helping local students go abroad with AFS. Exact qualifications for the scholarship, as well as the full amount of the scholarship-or scholarships-will be determined in the next few months. The scholarship(s) will be made available to students going abroad in 2005 (summer and later.)
The donation for each shirt will be $25. Students will, of course, receive a deep discount! The shirts will be available for purchase at AFS events or by sending $28 to Jean McQuady (707) 996-7210 to have one mailed to you.
